Turbine Flats Cafe, 2124 Y Street, Lincoln

Join us to hear from Randall Jantzen, Senior Manager, Community Development, and Brian Ortner, Director of Communications, at the American Cancer Society.

The American Cancer Society is a global grassroots force of nearly 2 million volunteers dedicated to saving lives, celebrating lives, and leading the fight for a world without cancer.

From breakthrough research, to free lodging near treatment, a 24/7/365 live helpline, free rides to treatment, and convening powerful activists to create awareness and impact, the Society is the only organization attacking cancer from every angle.

Randall has been with the American Cancer Society for 10 years and for the past 5 years has led his regional and state development teams to raise awareness, secure sponsorship, acquire top-level volunteers, manage major-market events, budget for success, execute plans efficiently and effectively, and continue to build the American Cancer Society brand as the #1 cancer fighting organization starting at the grassroots level on up. All this is done while saving lives and having a great time doing it.

Brian has been with the American Cancer Society for 5 years and has over 20 years of combined technical and administrative communications experience that includes Government and Media Relations, staff and budget management, fundraising, management of multiple broadcast information channels, franchise management and live broadcast production support. As if that wasn’t impressive enough, he’s also a member of a currently reigning Dodgeball Championship Team!
